Shifting Left: Building Cost Awareness into DevOps Workflows (brought to you by IBM Cloudability)
Matt Rosen , Senior Solutions Consultant , IBM Cloudability

Mike Preston, Staff Technical Marketing Manager, Rubrik
AWS provides the world's most robust infrastructure, but in the face of a sophisticated ransomware attack, 'having a backup' isn't the same as 'being back in business.' Relying on manual scripts and siloed snapshots across dozens of accounts creates a recovery gap that can cost weeks of downtime. Join Rubrik to learn how to close that gap. In this session, learn how AWS and Rubrik work together to take you from basic data protection to true cyber resilience. We’ll dive into how Rubrik and AWS work together to automate the discovery of shadow data, proactively identify clean recovery points before an attack even hits, and restore mission-critical workloads up to 100x faster than traditional methods. No weeks of downtime.

Slash AI agent costs: specialize smaller models with SageMaker AI
Nick Sciarrilli, AWS; Anoop Saha, AWS; Surya Kari, AWS
Every company has access to the same powerful foundation models — the same ones their competitors use. Off-the-shelf models work for prototyping, but per-call costs make production economics difficult. Walk through the decision framework for when to use general-purpose models vs. fine-tuning smaller open-weight models (Qwen, Llama, Nova) specialized on your use case. Cover the full customization spectrum — SFT, DPO, RLVR, RLAIF, and multi-turn RL — and when each technique applies. Then see how to deploy your specialized model cost-effectively across SageMaker Managed Inference, HyperPod, or Bedrock, choosing the right inference option for your latency and cost requirements.
